37xDubai: Redefining the gallery experience in the middle east with art and technology fusion

1. What value does 37xDubai aim to bring to the region?
37xDubai brings a multitude of values to the UAE region, with one key objective to bring greater attention and prominence to digital art in this innovative and fast-growing region.
37xDubai will go beyond traditional exhibitions and will focus on fostering collaborations and creating a creative and forward-thinking community. Once the 37xDubai gallery opens its doors, we will host international and local artists, facilitate cultural exchanges through exhibitions, and host a wide variety of multidisciplinary events, ranging from private gatherings, to panel discussions, workshops, and collaborations with exclusive brands.
Additionally, 37xDubai places a strong emphasis on bridging art and technology. We aim to enlighten our guests on the technological advancements that are shaping up the art world, as well as push highlight the benefits of Web 3 and the blockchain within the art world.
2. What do you deem as a contributing factor to the emergence of digital art?
Digital art is undeniably a result of the advancement of technology. Technology has long been a catalyst for advancements when it comes to art. Throughout history, it has enabled greater accessibility for artists and provided them with several ways to express their creativity. From the earliest days of art, technology has allowed artists to explore new mediums and formats beyond traditional canvases and sculptures. In recent decades, the advent of computers and digital tools has further developed artistic evolution, expanding artists’ horizons onto new platforms – such as the blockchain.
While digital art is no longer a new concept, as it first emerged in the 1960s, its growth continues at an exponential pace, with digital artists merely scratching the surface of its potential.
3. How will 37xDubai seek to disrupt or differ from the “traditional” gallery scene?
At 37xDubai, we aim to emphasize the relationship between Art and Technology. We achieve this by coming up with innovative ideas and distinctive artistic concepts, and by creating avenues for individuals from both sectors to connect in our space and derive value from it.
With our mission to go beyond the traditional gallery model, 37xDubai aims to mirror the dynamic nature of the contemporary art world, providing visitors with fresh perspectives and interactive art. Our visitors are not simply observers, but via unique events and initiatives, also participants in what we are bringing to the region (hint: we will have more updates in the future!).
While we embrace NFTs, it’s essential to emphasize that 37xDubai is not solely an NFT gallery. We aim to showcase diverse forms of digital and contemporary art. Nonetheless, our exhibitions will feature exceptional NFTs, leveraging blockchain technology for traceability, authenticity, and transparency.
4. How do you aim to attract artists and businesses in the region?
Regarding attracting new artists, we have a curation process and a team of professionals helping us expand our relationships with artists and other players in the space. Currently, we are curating our opening exhibition centered around the theme of “Light”, and I am thrilled to share that we have received very positive feedback so far. We are lucky to launch 37xDubai at the right time, and our new and unique concept is already being well received.
Also, our digital art exhibitions showcase innovative and talented artists, using technology as a medium to expand the boundaries of what is possible. This approach fosters a more inclusive and engaging experience for visitors, setting us apart from traditional white cube galleries. We have carefully selected artists who complement each other and use different technologies such as Augmented Reality, Generative Art, and AI, creating a unique blend of digital and physical art. We believe this will capture the attention of people in the region and bring something different to the already existing art world.
5. Beyond showcasing digital art, please elaborate on the venue and its offering.
In addition to showcasing contemporary and digital art, 37xDubai has a broader vision encompassing various initiatives. One of which revolves around utilizing the 37xDubai platform as a stepping stone for cultivating a network of exceptional individuals and collectors who embody our gallery’s progressive ideas. Our fundamental vision lies in forging connections between individuals and art. This philosophy is the reason 37xDubai goes beyond the conventional boundaries of a mere gallery.
Regarding our physical space, we are very lucky to have secured a large space in the middle of DIFC, with a beautiful outside area and view of the Burj Khalifa. We worked with talented teams to build a unique, futuristic, and technically speaking highly sophisticated space, which allows us to customize the ambiance of our gallery in various ways.
6. How do you intend to unite the web3 community, and why do you believe this is necessary?
To your second point, given that we want to connect not only people in the web3 community but also like-minded individuals who have an affinity for both art and technology, we are creating a very unique ‘circle of curated individuals’. We are convinced that bringing people together in our creative space will forge new connections and ideas amongst our members, and thus nurture various opportunities within the art and Web 3 space.

This partnership will empower us to foster special connections, partnerships and business opportunities.
